Research shows that treatment can help people addicted to drugs stop using, avoid relapse, and recover to a drug-free life. But addiction is complex, and no two people respond to treatment the same way. The most effective treatment addresses multiple needs of the individual — not only the drug addiction.

Services for Families

This guide provides an overview of all services available to families struggling with addiction-related issues.

A new interconnected treatment system

Delaware is initiating a new continuum of care called START—Substance Use Treatment and Recovery Transformation—an interconnected system of care that keeps people struggling with addiction on the path to a healthy life using a personalized, evidence-based model. DTRN—the Delaware Treatment and Referral Network—makes it possible through an automated, electronic, comprehensive referral process that identifies available services so that referring care teams can electronically transition patients to providers around the state that match the level of care needed.
